Todd Portune
From HereInCincinnati
Todd Portune has served on the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners since 2000. Before that, Portune was appointed to fill a vacancy on City Council in 1993. After being appointed to City Council, he was elected to four more full terms (with each term lasting two years).[1]
When Portune became County Commissioner in 2000, he appointed John Cranley to fill his vacated seat on City Council.[2]
Portune ran in the November 2008 Elections to keep his seat as County Commissioner and won. He ran (and won) against Republican Ed Rothenberg who was not endorsed by his party due to a "backroom deal" arranged by the chairs of the local parties: Tim Burke(D) and George Vincent(R).[3]
