Greg Harris

Greg Harris was placed on City Council in Janurary 2009 as a replacement for John Cranley. Harris, 37, works as a public policy officer at KnowledgeWorks Foundation and is a former Miami University instructor. He placed 15th in the 2007 council race and ran twice unsuccessfully for Steve Chabot’s congressional seat, in 2002 and 2004.[1]

Harris was selected by four Democrats on council – Jeff Berding, Laketa Cole, Cecil Thomas, and David Crowley, along with Mayor Mark Mallory and Democratic Party Chair Tim Burke to replace John Cranley on City Council in January 2009. "Vice Mayor David Crowley had said he and the other interviewers would be looking for someone they think can raise enough money and campaign well enough to keep the seat after the November election."[2]
