Anitra is currently employed at Southwestern College (Vine Street Campus) as the Department Chair for the Business Management Program where she was the recipient of the "2008 Instructor of the Year" award.

Anitra Brockman was born and raised here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Being a single mother of three wonderful children (Janele 12, Janae 7, Jordan 3) has inspired Anitra to persevere in life, and they are her motivation for deciding to run for council. Anitra believes that embracing the culture and diversity, striving for a safer place to live, job security, quality education and sufficient public transportation within Cincinnati are key components to “PRIORITYCincinnati”. If we work together as a community and set our differences aside, we can enhance the image of our city and ultimately attract and retain investors, businesses, citizens and tourists.
